Remove your Car Hire Excess!

What is Car Hire Excess?
Your car rental agreement normally includes cover for Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) and Theft. However you are still liable for the Excess on CDW and Theft, which is sometimes as high as 1,000 GBP. When a rental car is damaged or stolen, the driver is asked to pay the first portion of the repair or replacement costs. This is known as the Car Hire Excess.

What is Car Hire Excess Insurance?
Most car rental companies will offer to sell you their own Excess insurance, but buying over the counter can cost you up to £12 per day. The policy from Insurance4CarHire is only GBP 4,75 per day and offers you full protection. What’s more, Insurance4CarHire provides cover for window and tyre damage, excluded from most alternative policies.

How does the Excess Insurance Work?
Insurance4CarHire insures the Policy Holder, not the rental vehicle. Excess is a voluntary insurance. Decline the car rental company’s Excess cover at the counter when you collect the car. If the car is damaged or stolen, the car rental company will charge your credit card for the Excess amount and you then claim for reimbursement on your Policy.

Benefits:
• covers Excess on damage to the rented vehicle, Excess on theft;
• covers damage to windows, tyres, undercarriage and the roof;
• valid worldwide: can be used at all car rental locations and with all car rental compa-   nies;
• covers the policy holder & all additional drivers;
• you choose the start date (up to 6 months in advance).

Conditions applicable:
• drivers must be aged 21-74 years;
• valid up to a maximum of 62 days.

Who can purchase the Excess Policy?
The Excess policies can be purchased by people resident anywhere in the world.
