Requirements
To rent a car, you must be at least 21 years old (age may vary by car category) and have held your license for one year. Drivers under the age of 25 may incur a young driver surcharge. The maximum rental age for rentals is 70 years. Child seats are not mandatory.

Speed Limits
Speed limits in Romania are as follows: City - 30mph/50kph, Open Roads - 56mph/90kph.

Rules of the Road
Traffic travels on the right and trams are the only vehicles that can be passed on the right. Vehicles entering on the right of a roundabout are given priority. Police can issue on the spot fines.

Gas
Make sure you have plenty of fuel in your tank as gas stations can be few and far between outside of the major cities.

Tolls
There is a toll to travel into Bulgaria from Giurgiu and there is a toll to cross the Danube River.

Parking
Parking in Romania is allowed only on the right side of the street and cars must be parked in the direction of traffic.
