Requirements
To rent a car, you must be at least 23 years old (age may vary by car category) and have held your license for 1 year. Drivers under the age of 25 may incur a young driver surcharge. Seatbelts are compulsory front and rear. Children under 12 years of age must travel in the back seats, unless they are 1.5m (5ft) or taller, or if the front seat is fitted with an appropriate ECE-approved child seat.

Speed Limits
Speed limits in Luxembourg are as follows: City - 31mph/50kph, Open Roads - 56mph/90kph, Highways -74mph/120kph.

Parking
Blue zone parking exists in major cities. Pay car parks and parking meters are available in central Luxembourg. Alternately make use of the free car parks located approximately two miles away, where busses regularly leave for the city. Parking discs for these zones can be obtained from the ACL motoring club, police stations, shops, and tourist offices. Luxembourg city has parking meters and machines that dispense parking tickets. Wheel clamps are placed on illegally parked vehicles.

Tolls
There are no toll highways in Luxembourg.

Gas
Most gas stations are open from 7am to 8pm. Fuel is much cheaper in Luxembourg than in the surrounding countries.
