Requirements
To rent a car, you must be at least 21 years old (age may vary by car category) and no older than 75 years old. Drivers under the age of 25 may incur a young driver surcharge. You must have held your license for at least 1 year. Child seats are mandatory up to age 4.

Speed Limits
Speed limits in Israel are as follows: City - 31mph/50kph, Open Roads - 49mph/ 80kph, Highways - 62mph/100kph.

Tolls
The only toll road in Israel is highway number 6, and the toll is collected automatically according to your vehicle number. When renting a car, you will have to sign a contract saying that you will not use highway no. 6, otherwise you will be charged for it after the deal is over.

Gas
Gasoline is available in major cities and near major highways.

Parking
Some streets have blue and white stripes on the side of the road. Parking is legal in this zone if you have an appropriate parking ticket displayed on the car's dashboard. Red and white stripes on the sidewalk edge - no parking. Red and yellow stripes - no stopping or parking allowed, except of public transportation.
