Requirements
To rent a car, you must be at least 19 years old (age may vary by car category) and have held your license for one year. Drivers under the age of 25 may incur a young driver surcharge. Seatbelts are mandatory for all passengers.

Speed Limits
Speed limits in Croatia are as follows: City - 31mph/50kph, Open Roads - 56mph/90 kph, Highways - 81mph/130kph.

Tolls
There is a toll on the E59 and E70 highways that lead out of Zagreb.

Rules of the Road
Traffic travels on the right and cars entering a roundabout have the right of way. Buses have the right of way when leaving a stop. You cannot turn right at a red light and you must drive with your lights on, day or night.

Gas
Most gas stations are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m with some open 24 hours.

Parking
There are many parking lots that are found in Zagreb and Dubrovnik. There are metered parking areas in many cities.
