surcharge. Seatbelts are mandatory. Child seats are mandatory for children up to age 3 and children must be at least age 12 to sit in the front seat.
Speed LimitsSpeed limits in Belgium are as follows:
City - 31mph/50kph,
Open Roads - 56mph/90kph,
Highways - 75mph/120kph.
GasMost gas stations are open from 8am to 8pm and many stations on expressways stay open 24 hours.
TollsThere are no toll highways in Belgium. The Liefenhoeks Tunnel, located in Antwerp, does require a toll.
ParkingMost cities have parking meters along the street however there is also 'blue zone' parking. You will need to procure a time imprinted parking disc from a gas station, tobacco shop or police station. Parking in a 'blue zone' is usually valid for 3 hours.
